PARK UPDATE

The bids for construction of the Dog Park came in much higher than we anticipated. Despite the grants we have received and all of your generous donations, we still do not have enough money to cover construction of the Dog Park at this time. We have been working with the Town and the Stanton Foundation (which is providing the bulk of our funding) to make sure all of the requirements of the Stanton Foundation Grant are met. The delay in construction enables us to open up more opportunities to local businesses (in the form of Sponsorships) and to plan more exciting Fundraising events. Details of the Sponsorship Campaign will come in the following weeks.

We have also had changes to the leadership of the Board which we feel will provide more transparency and better communication overall. The Board also welcomed a new Treasurer, Scituate resident (and dog owner), Dan Joyce. We have a vacancy open for the position of Secretary.
